OK, so, I really wanted to like this book. Judging by the reviews that I read, Elfin seemed to be something that would be right up my alley. Unfortunately, within the first chapter, I could tell this would be a book that I struggled to get through.

Now, don't get me wrong, the plot for this book is not the culprit for my one-star review/5. Comments about The Elfin Artist by Alfred Noyes Havilah Howard (11/29/ AM) This is a poem I would like to share with my little brother and sister because it has a childs fairy tale quality to it/5.

Note: DGR's illustration was made for Allingham's ballad “The Maids of Elfin-Mere”, which was published in The Music Master, A Love Story, and Two Series of Day and Night Songs () volume.

It should be noted, however, that DGR employed a variant spelling--Maids of Elfen-Mere--for his design. Additional Physical Format: Print version: Noyes, Alfred, Elfin artist and other poems. I fell in love with her first series and she branched off into two other series, one of which follows the storyline of the first. Overall the Elfin series is about good versus evil and finding yourself and who you stand for. I have enjoyed every single one of Quinn’s books/5().

The Elfin Artist. by Alfred Noyes. In a glade of an elfin forest When Sussex was Eden-new, I came on an elvish painter And watched as his picture grew. A harebell nodded beside him.
